    City Presentation delivers a range of services that provide clean, well-presented public spaces including 550 parks and playgrounds, 105 sporting facilities and more than 50 community buildings across our 404km2 local government area.

    Our team consists of over 250 qualified and motivated staff, across diverse areas including trades, civil construction and works, horticulture and landscaping, fleet management and workshop servicing, and public cleaning and maintenance.

    About the role

    We are looking for an experienced, energetic and highly motivated professional to join our team as the City Presentation Manager. Leading a team of over 250 staff, you will be responsible for the effective coordination of area-based functions for public space maintenance. These include maintenance of parks, open spaces, sporting fields, bushland, car parks, laneways, road reserves, neighbourhood precincts, city centres and shopping centres and the implementation and management of all civil and building maintenance works, plant and vehicle management including Depot and Workshop operations.

    To succeed in this role, you must be an outstanding leader and communicator able to effectively manage and coordinate the team. You will have extensive project management skills, as well as the ability to maintain and control expenditure within a budget, deliver projects on time, and ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements and industry codes and standards.

    Essential Criteria

    • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
    • Extensive demonstrated experience in a service delivery or production environment with a capacity to drive a high level of presentation across a range of assets and facilities including open space, parks, sporting fields, public facilities, civic assets and buildings.
    • Demonstrated experience in tendering processes, and in all aspects of contract management and administration.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in project management principles, practices and techniques.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing annual budgets, proven high level project planning skills, ability to maintain and control expenditure within a budget and deliver projects on time.
    • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and demonstrated experience in dealing with the community.
    • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead, manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams with a commitment to high standards of performance.
    • Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of EEO and WHS and an ability to apply them to work practices.
    • A current Class C Driver Licence.

    Desirable Criteria

    • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant provisions of the Local Government Act, Local Government State Award and other relevant legislation.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products.
    • Previous experience in a local government environment.

    Benefits

    Commencing Salary: The commencing salary for this position is $175,700 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation.

    A Leaseback Vehicle is available with this position, however it is not a condition of employment.
