Environmental Health and Compliance plays a vital role in protecting the health, environment and safety of our growing city. Our team of dedicated professionals are responsible for environmental protection and public health programs, development compliance, regulatory and animal services.
About the role
Are you super organised, with great administrative and people skills, looking for a challenging role in a busy department? We are looking for someone to provide a high level of efficient and accurate administrative and business support to Councils Compliance Officers. This varied role also includes organising and providing for the production of Council enquiries received. In addition to this, the role is responsible for maintaining a variety of corporate registers and ensuring information is disseminated quickly and efficiently to staff and members of the public. We are seeking a self-motivated team player who shows initiative and the ability to handle a constant workload in a contemporary deadline driven environment. You will be a part of a small energetic team that strives to support the organisation and continuously improve.
- Qualification in Administration, Business or relevant area
- Demonstrated experience in office administration and in maintaining confidentiality
- Experience providing support relating to Department finances (e.g. purchasing and petty cash)
- High level verbal and solid written communication skills
- Outstanding organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Strong minute taking experience
- Proven strong Microsoft Office skills (in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Internet and email)
- A Class C Driver Licence
- Previous Local Government experience
Commencing Salary: $56,490.72 plus 9.5% Superannuation per annum.
