In Financial Services we are responsible for the effective and efficient management of Council financial functions, including corporate and financial accounting, rates and purchasing and supply.

We are looking for an Operational Finance Coordinator to lead our team of 10 staff, including 3 direct reports. In this role, you will manage the Operational Finance section of Financial Services, incorporating Accounts Payable, Taxation, Loans, Annual Statements, Funds Management, Asset Accounting, Business Support, Entities and Audit.
To succeed in this role, you must be skilled in leading and developing a team of professionals, managing loans and investments to the benefit of the organisation, administering and ensuring compliance to relevant policies and legislation, and possess strong communication and ICT skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Business or Accountancy
- Completed or currently completing CPA/CA Membership
- Demonstrated solid corporate experience in the field of Business Management and Accountancy
- Proven superior experience interpreting and applying Financial Reporting requirements
- Demonstrated supervision/leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing large and diverse financial projects
- Local Government Experience
- Experience with Finance One (Technology One)
- Current Class C Drivers Licence
The position is located in the Penrith Civic Centre, adjacent to a major shopping centre and close to the railway station.

Commencing Salary: $105,300 - $120,700 per annum, plus 9.5% superannuation
