As part of the Waste and Resource Recovery team you will work with a team of dedicated, innovative and award winning professionals who provide waste and recycling services, waste planning and promote waste avoidance and resource recovery within our City
We are seeking individuals with an educational background in Marketing, Science, Environment, Planning, Building Surveying, Social Sciences (or relevant) field to join our team on a casual basis as Waste Project Support Officers. In this role, you will be involved in activities which promote community awareness and good practice on waste avoidance and resource recovery. You will support the Waste and Resource Recovery team in data entry, responding to customer enquiries, assisting with field work relating to waste collection services and bin auditing, preparing reports, and preparing and processing invoices.
The successful candidates will demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, customer service and computer skills; professionalism and accountability; and the ability to take initiative in their approach to tasks.

- Currently completing, or recently completed, a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Science, Environment, Planning, Building Surveying, Social Sciences or relevant field
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Current Class C or Provisional Driver Licence
- Experience in administration or project work
- Knowledge of domestic waste management in Local Government
Commencing wage: $28.94 per hour, plus 25% casual loading, plus 9.5% superannuation
