About the team
Penrith City Council is the largest local government child care service provider in NSW, with more than 25 child care facilities annually catering for 4000 children. Committed to providing Children's Services programs for the benefit of families and children across the City, we offer a variety of child care services including Long Day Care, Vacation and Out of School Hours Care, Preschools and a Mobile Playvan and are at the leading edge of implementing curriculum for the intellectual, social and physical development of the children within our care.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Children’s Services Educator who wants to take that next step in their career. You will be responsible for managing multiple service types and high-quality education and care programs, across ages 0 to 12, within the largest local government child care service provider in NSW. Penrith City Council education and care programs are at the leading edge of curriculum implementation. You will be in a pivotal role in driving these programs forward.
This opportunity is temporary full-time role up until December 2020, working a 9-day fortnight and 35 hours per week.

Demonstrated experience and understanding of The National Quality Standards including contemporary curriculum frameworks
Demonstrated experience and understanding of The Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
Demonstrated strong leadership and staff management skills
Demonstrated experience in budget management
Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills
A current First Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylasix Management Training
A current Class C Driver Licence
Commencing Salary: $84,200.00 + 9.5% superannuation
