Community, Facilities and Recreation provide venues where people are able to participate in sport and recreation activities, get together with family and friends to celebrate, meet to learn and share experiences, and gather to remember and reflect. Our team is responsible for the provision, development, management and promotion of sustainable recreation facilities, services and programs which provide a range of recreation, leisure and sports opportunities for our communities and partners. In a City which is growing fast, 3 million annual visitations are just around the corner.
About the role
To contribute administrative support for the use, provision, and operation of sport, recreation, community, play and open space facilities and services provided by Council.
Essential criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or relevant field.
- Strong communication skills including well developed customer services skills and managing public enquiries.
- Significant experience undertaking and providing support to enable completion of all types of administrative tasks.
- An ability to work independently and as part of the team to complete tasks and resolve issues within a deadline driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use multiple ICT platforms, systems and programs.
Desirable criteria
- An understanding of operational requirements of providing facilities and services to the community.
Commencing salary: $69,648.00 - 80,622.00 per annum, plus 12% Superannuation.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
