About the role
The Member Engagement Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Member Engagement Desk. This position will be responsible for all transactions conducted during their shift which includes but is not limited to, accurate eftpos procedures, program, venue and membership enquiries, and processing the enquiries with our systems, as well as complaints handling. Whether in person, via phone or email you will ensure patrons receive a friendly, focused and fulfilling service.
Current Opportunties available:
- 1 x Permanent Part Time Position: 10 hours/week, Friday 4pm-9pm and Saturday 8am-1pm
- Various casual opportunties across all operational hours, 5am-10pm, 7 days a week.

Essential criteria
- Demonstrated administrative or customer service experience within a fast paced work environment.
- Current First Aid Certificate
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check
Commencing salary: $30.90 per hour, plus 12% Superannuation, plus casual loading and weekend penalities (where applicable)
This position has been identified as a Child-Related position under Child Protection laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply, you are required to provide Council with a valid Working with Children Check Number.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
