About the role
As Business Operations Coordinator, you’ll lead the ongoing improvement of Development Services systems and processes, ensuring high-quality customer service and efficient administration. You’ll supervise a dedicated admin team, manage departmental resources, and foster a positive, proactive work culture while upholding compliance and safety standards.
Essential criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in business administration
- Demonstrated system and procedure continuous improvement
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills
- High-level organisation and time management skills
- Understanding of ICT systems and their application in business processes
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team
Desirable criteria
- Post Graduate Qualifications relevant to Local Government Administration
- Experience in local government
- Understanding of application and certification processes in Local Government
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation relevant to Local Government.
Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $116,235.00 - $134,546.00 p.a, + 12% Superannuation, and will be negotiated commensurate with the skills, qualifications, and experience of the preferred applicant.
Access to a Motor Vehicle Allowance is available with this position; however, it is not a condition of employment.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration, and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
