About the role
As part of our dynamic City Marketing team, you’ll lead and support campaigns that elevate Penrith’s brand, attract investment and inspire pride in our community. You’ll work across digital and traditional platforms, collaborate with internal teams and external agencies and bring fresh ideas to life that drive engagement and deliver measurable results.
You’ll also support Council’s commercial enterprises including Children’s Services and Ripples, with strategic marketing that connects with diverse audiences and delivers real value.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement city-wide marketing strategies and campaigns
- Create compelling content for LinkedIn, social media, web and print
- Produce and edit digital assets using Canva and Adobe
- Champion Penrith’s brand across all touchpoints
- Collaborate with stakeholders to solve marketing challenges
- Monitor and report on campaign performance and channel effectiveness
- Stay ahead of digital trends and emerging technologies
- Contribute to strategic reporting and insights for leadership.
What You'll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing or communications
- Proven experience delivering impactful marketing campaigns
- Strong digital content creation skills, including video and social media
- Ability to work across teams and manage multiple projects
- A passion for brand storytelling and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of project management and corporate branding
Bonus Points For
- Experience in city marketing or local government
- A current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Familiarity with WHS, EEO, and governance standards

Commencing salary: $92,765.00 - $107,380.00 per annum, plus 12% Superannuation.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.

Essential criteria
- Tertiary qualification in marketing or communications.
- Demonstrated experience achieving objectives through marketing and communications planning and implementation.
- Demonstrated experience delivering, monitoring and evaluating a major marketing campaign with web, social and other digital assets, analytics and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience working with a number of diverse teams to create marketing and communications programs to deliver objectives.
- Demonstrated experience producing content suited to a range of digital channels and audiences including video and other content for social media, web and online publishing.
- Experience working for a corporate brand and writing style guidelines.
- Knowledge of Project Management applications and techniques.
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience working on major city marketing projects that involves multiple market segments and use diverse marketing and communication channels to create impact.
- Previous experience working in Local Government.
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Knowledge of EEO, WHS and Corporate Governance requirements.
