About the role
We are looking for passionate Gym Instructors to positively engage with members and provide Health and Fitness advice and programming. Applicants will be required to engage and interact effectively with participants across a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs. You will create a supportive and inclusive environment where every member feels valued and engaged.
The position will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the Ripples Member Retention Strategy. Key duties include proactive gym floor supervision to ensure the safety of staff and customers at all times, exercise prescription to a wide variety of customers and the development and delivery of fitness programs.
We are currently offering the following Permanant Part Time positions in our fitness team:
- 21 hours per week: Monday 3pm-8pm, Tuesday 4pm-9pm, Wednesday 3pm-9pm, and Thursday 3pm-9pm.
- 15 hours per week: Tuesday 5.30am-11am, Thursday 5.30am-11am, and Friday 5.30am-11am.

Aquatics and Leisure provides a number of facilities including a gym, pools, and a hydrotherapy and rehabilitation centre to the residents of the Penrith Local Government Area. Essential criteria
- Current Personal Training qualification or tertiary qualification in relevant field
- Current AUSactive professional Registration or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
Commencing salary: $30.00 per hour, plus 11.5% Superannuation.
This position has been identified as a Child-Related position under Child Protection laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply, you are required to provide Council with a valid Working with Children Check Number.
