About the role
Temporary full-time Administration Officer opportunity available up to October 2026.
In this role you will make a valuable contribution to the operations of the department through the provision of quality customer service and administration tasks related to processing and determining development applications and construction certificates. You will also provide administrative support to the functions of building certification and fire safety services. In this role you will be responsible for handling a wide range of customer enquiries, preparation of correspondence, database and electronic file maintenance, typing certificates, and production of determination documents. As a department managing a program of continuous improvement and digital enhancement, opportunities to assist on change programs may also be presented.
Please note that Interviews will be conducted on the 15 January 2025.

Essential criteria
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or solid experience in administration duties
- Strong team focus
- High level customer service experience
- Demonstrated computer skills, in particular Microsoft products
- Effective organisation and time management skills
- Proven capacity for problem solving
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of development assessment and certification services
- Practical experience using the NSW Planning Portal
- An understanding of the functions of local government

Commencing salary: $67,619.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation.
