About the role
Note: This is a temporary full-time position available for a period of up to 6 months, with the possibility of an extension.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and high-performing Parking Ranger to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to perform parking enforcement duties across the entire LGA through high profile foot and vehicle patrols. This position regulates through the provisions of Acts of Parliament, Council policies and codes, public areas, particularly relating to Council free car parks, on-street parking, and road related activities.
Essential criteria
- Completed or have the willingness and ability to complete the Self Enforcement Infringement Notice System (SEINS)
- A current National Police Certificate (Criminal History check)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Road Rules 2014
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Road Transport (General) Regulation 2018
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Road Transport Act 2013
- Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993 and Regulations
- An ability to write concise and comprehensive reports and prosecution briefs.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 and Regulations
- A current Driver’s Licence
Commencing salary: $67,619.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation.
