About the role
The Economic Partnerships Lead role takes a strategic approach to building and nurturing a range of external relationships that contribute to growing the local economy. Highly skilled in negotiation and effectively managing complex and sensitive projects, the focus of this role is to identify and manage new partnerships that will contribute to achieving the objectives of Council’s Economic Development Strategy 2023-2031, and the Visitor Economy, 24 Hour Economy, and Event strategies. This role reports to the City Economy Program Manager in the Economy and Marketing Department.
Essential
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Marketing
- Demonstrated ability to effectively identify and develop economic development partnerships
- Highly skilled in building and nurturing external partnerships.
- Experience in managing complex relationships with State and Federal government agencies.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence change and lead innovation.
Desirable
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
- Industry and/or goverment experience in managing external relationships.
Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $112,849.00 - $130,626.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation and will be negotiated commensurate with the skills, qualifications and experience of the preferred applicant.
