Here’s what you’ll be up to…
We’re looking for a Fleet and Workshop Administrator who will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Council’s fleet services.
In this role, you will:
- Coordination, deployment, maintenance and support of Council’s light fleet
- Administering and assisting with management and compliance for heavy fleet and plant

Maintain fleet and workshop systems, documentation, financial data, and asset records with accuracy and attention to detail

Contribute to safe, compliant operations through adherence to WHS, NHVR, NHVAS and Chain of Responsibility requirements

This permanent full-time role connects closely with internal departments, emergency services (RFS/SES), fleet contractors and operational teams across Council. Your work ensures our vehicles and equipment are safe, compliant and ready to support services delivered to our community.

What are we looking for?
This role provides a superior level of customer service to multiple stakeholders that include but aren't limited to - internal fleet and leaseback customers, drivers, operators and field supervisors, Transport for NSW, Rural Fire Service, State Emergency Services, Finance and Fleet Management, Motor Vehicle Group.
- We are looking for someone who is a self starter, organised and able to take on many hats
- Working with many customers across Council as well as our emergency services and other locals teams, we need a can do attitude and making sure every box is ticked.
- Experience in Local Government and/or fleet coordination will be extremely beneficial
- Come ready to make a big impact - make the role your own, improve on processes and work with others to deliver and oversee a program of works, essential for our community and Council.
The must-know bits
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.
Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.
