Here’s what you’ll be up to… 

We’re looking for a skilled Event Producer to help shape, deliver and grow Penrith City Council’s major events and community events. You’ll play a crucial role across planning, programming, production, logistics and creative development, bringing Council’s event strategy to life. Working alongside the Events and Activations Program Manager and team, in this role, you will: 

• Produce and deliver events of various scales end-to-end 

• Support the production and delivery of Real Festival, our flagship event 

• Manage logistics, programming, suppliers, contractors and onsite delivery 

• Build partnerships with artists, creatives and community groups 

• Keep events safe, inclusive and aligned with Council’s strategy 

This is a permanent full-time opportunity within the Events and Activations Team, part of the City Activation, Community and Place department — a group dedicated to connection, collaboration and celebrating people, places and Country. This role will require work outside of hours and on weekends pending event delivery.

What we’re looking for 

We’re after someone who brings both creativity and operational confidence — someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys delivering meaningful public experiences. 

Our ideal applicant has: 

• Tertiary qualification in events, marketing, arts management or other related discipline

• Experience delivering major and community events end-to-end 

• Strong skills in technical production, logistics, scheduling and infrastructure management 

• Great communication skills and the ability to collaborate widely with stakeholders, suppliers and the community 

• A proactive, solutions focused mindset with excellent time management 

• A passion for arts, culture and community engagement

The must-know bits 

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. 

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.
