About the role
We currently have Temporary Part Time positions and Casual positions available to join our Member Engagement Team. Please note the Temporary Part-Time positions are for the Summer Season only. This will be from October 2021 to April 2022 with the span of hours ranging from 5am-11pm. Applicants must be available across all operational hours which includes weekends.
The Member Engagement Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Member Engagement Desk. The position works closely with the Team Leader Member Engagement to ensure all members & visitors receive a positive service experience.
The position is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of all services to our members whilst on shift.
This position will be responsible for all transactions conducted on the Member Engagement Desk during their shift, which includes but is not limited to accurate EFT balancing procedures, programs and membership enquiries, as well as complaints handling. They will also ensure that patrons receive fast, fun, focused, friendly and fulfilling service.
- Demonstrated administration or customer service experience with faced-paced work environment.
- Current First Aid Certificate (including Provide First Aid, Provide Basic Emergency Life Support and Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to promote services to members.
- Demonstrated a high level of personal organisation and composure under pressure.
- Outstanding service skills and personal service ethic.
- Demonstrated previous EFTPOS balancing process
- Demonstrated commitment to corporate values of Penrith City Council
- Previous work experience in the leisure/recreation industry or similar role.
- Previous experience in cash handing role.
Commencing Salary: $27.19 to $31.47 per hour, plus 10% superannuation (plus 25% casual loading where applicable).
This position has been identified as a Child-Related position under Child Protection laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply, you are required to provide Council with a valid Working with Children Check Number.
